Vote by Mail / Absentee

Voting by mail is a great way to cast your ballot if you will be out of town on Election Day or are concerned about exposure to Covid-19.  Voting by mail in Ohio is a two-step process.

Step 1: Apply for an absentee ballot.  Click here to download the absentee ballot application. Mail this application to the Butler County Board of Elections or drop in off in the Board of Elections drop box.  This drop box is under video surveillance, emptied many times a day and is open 24/7 for you to drop your application off to the Board of Elections.

Step 2: Ballot will be mailed to your house. After October 6th, the Board of Elections will mail your absentee ballot to your home. After you have filled it out and voted, mail the ballot back to the Board of Elections or drop it in the Board of Elections drop box.

The address for the Butler County Board of Elections is Board of Elections - 1802 Princeton Road, Suite 600, Hamilton, OH 45011 | (513) 887-3700.

If you ask for an absentee ballot but decide to vote in person - you can do that. You must bring the ballot to the Board of Elections and early vote or bring the absentee ballot to your polling location on Election Day.  You turn in the blank ballot and then you can vote in person.

Republican Candidates

We must elect our Republican candidates this year, from the President all the way down the ticket to our County Coroner.

There are two races in particular we must be focused on for 2020 – the Ohio Supreme Court. These races are nonpartisan. No R or D after their name, so you need to remember to vote for these two Constitutional Conservatives on the bench.
